After five years, time has come for a wrap-up at Biofinesse, first French company delivering organic foods to foodservices, especially schools. « There is one problem, says Serge Atia, creator and manager. The activity is not regular and our customers are not loyal. Only 5 to 10% of them are. Actually, Biofinesse delivers 80000meals a year, half of them during the Printemps Bio and during the taste week. On two busy periods, Biofinesse does half of its sales. The rest of the year, the organic meal delivery is subject to special occasions and holidays. However, Serge Atia knows the possibilities of his activity: We are not organic extremists. We want it to be included in a sustainable action and part of the menu at least once a month. For 2006, Serge Atia hopes a lot from its participation to the National Restaurant Administration of Chicago where 75000 visitors are supposed to show up. He hopes he will get in touch with some people interested in his idea and in delivering organic food to American schools. Biofinesses goal, actually certified by AGROCERT, is to help kids to eat healthy and well-balanced meals. The society from Toulouse offers 1100 products, fresh, dry and frozen. Since last September, the company also sells fair trade products.
