Biofinesse, first French distributor for organic foods to foodservices, celebrates its 5 years of existence. The 18th of January, Serge Atia, the Biofinesses director, celebrated with Elisabeth Mercier Director of the Agence Bio for the development and promotion of organic agriculture in France its companys 5th birthday. During this day, Biofinesse has insisted on its action to develop the organic agriculture. Actually, since its creation in 2001, Biofinesse has became the first organic products distributor or schools, high schools, colleges, all over France. In the same time, the company offers to school some communication media to educate kids about organic foods. This is done through many fun supports such as table mat, posters, napkins, balloons, as well as educative supports like lessons, tests, The main themes remain the environment protection, fair trade, meals balance and sustainable development. Serge Atia insists: « The more organic meals are provided, the best it is for our kids. » Biofinesse is currently getting bigger. In order to answer a growing demand, the society has just celebrated its new office in the ZAC of Gabardie. The company has two distributing platforms, one in Toulouse, the other in Paris. Thanks to 150 suppliers (producers and processors) and 1100 products, Biofinesses sales generated 1 600 000 in 2005. The challenge is still to prove high quality foods without increasing prices too much for foodservices. By insisting on foods and environments quality, Biofinesse answers its customers needs. In 2006, the society is going to develop its activity on the American market, first GMOs producer. Biofinesse is the first French society certified AB through AGROCERT. This certification is an additional proof of quality. In addition, it insures the respect of organic rules all over the food production chain. Regarding the products origin, Biofinesse favours local suppliers. However, for exotic products, the society follows fair trade rules and work exclusively with Max Havellar. Through its numerous ranges of products, Biofinesse remind us good tastes and educated youth by respecting seasonal rhythm. Organized in many organic menus made by dieticians or by product, Biofinesse has wide ranges of various foods (delicatessen, convenience foods, meats, poultry, vegetables, cereals, dairies, cakes, ) and without GMOs, pesticides, fertilizers and preservatives « Because the main goal of Biofinesse, says Serge Atia, is to help kids to eat healthy and well-balanced foods.
